In connection with charges that could land him 75 years in prison, Trump was arraigned in Miami on June 13. If handed the maximum sentences in either of his cases Trump will spend the rest of his life in a federal prison.Trump is being prosecuted by the same Justice Department who overlooks suspicious international transactions between Biden family members and goes after parents attending PTA meetings. The current political system incentivizes the politicization of the justice system which can only produce polarization and contempt between the ideological aisle.
Trump, a political idol to one third of the country, is being charged with crimes he could not have committed. President Trump has been indicted for charges including retaining classified documents, conspiring to obstruct justice, withholding a document or record, corruptly concealing a document or record, concealing a document in a federal investigation, and scheming to conceal. The only problem is that the National Archives and the FBI knew President Trump was keeping these documents; because they signed off on it. Before the end of his administration, Trump relocated these documents to his residence in Mar-a-Lago. Such knowledge of these documents was prevalent within the current administration to the extent that the FBI provided President Trump with guidance on how to properly store them.
By contrast, the surveillance state we call the U.S. intentionally disregards suspicious business dealings of the Biden family with foreign entities.Hunter Biden, in particular, has been embroiled in several controversies, including accepting money from the Mayor of Moscow, leveraging access to his father for financial gain in China, and having his father exert pressure on the Ukrainian government to dismiss the prosecutor investigating the gas company he was affiliated with. Not mentioning the rest of the Biden family, Joe Biden is a tool to be used by his son. While Hunter attains a large, guaranteed income, Joe maintains a veneer of “decency”, all at the expense of dirtying the halls of the people’s house. Consequently, President-Select Biden will leave behind a distorted and misleading legacy of decency and reform, whereas Trump was the only one who actively sought to transform the system.
This battle represents just a small part of an ongoing quiet war against the establishment class. While Trump's case may be the most high-profile, similar struggles against entrenched powers occur at the state, county, and local levels throughout the country. A fight that is defined by the hypocrisy in the treatment of the Trump and Hunter cases. A fight that is perfectly reflected on the local level by the subject of my last article, The Very Real Problem with Red State Republicans, where the “Radical” Texas attorney general, Ken Paxton was impeached and suspended by the Texas House of Representatives, led by the entrenched interests and establishment republican, Dade Phelan. The establishment class doesn’t care about America. Their primary interests lie in power, financial gains, and their own legacies, and most are blind to the snake oil being sold to them.
